This catalogue aims to properly identify and verify the spare parts necessary to repair the car and identifies the products / items distributed by Olsa Parts.
The parts just distributed by Olsa Parts fall into three different product types:
- ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT PARTS
- MATCHING QUALITY PARTS
- UNIVERSAL PARTS
N.B.: Here below you find the definitions of original equipment parts, matching quality parts and universal parts in accordance with the current legislation in force.
Except for original equipment parts, the type of “matching quality parts” and the type of “universal parts” are expressly stated at the bottom of the representation of the product belonging to the above categories.
In particular:
1) ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT PARTS:
This catalogue shows original equipment parts, distributed by Olsa Parts, which are all manufactured by Olsa SpA, as well as additional items produced by companies other than OLSA SpA, that comply with recital 19 of the Guidelines of EU Reg. no. 461/2010, as amended by the Commission Communication of April 2023 in the margin of Reg. no. 822/202.
2) MATCHING QUALITY PARTS are specified at the bottom of every single item belonging to category and for them, according to the definition contained in paragraph 20 of the Guidelines to the UE Regulation n. 461/2010, as amended by the Commission Communication dd. April 2023 in the margin of Reg. no. 822/2023 and their USE HAS THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF ALLOWING THE REPAIR OF THE CAR AND THE RESTORATION OF ITS ORIGINAL APPEARANCE, in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2823/2024 and EU Regulation 2822/2024 in relation to the respective articles 19 and 20 (Repair Clause).
It is recalled that, according to the provisions of Directive 2823/2024 and Regulation 2822/2024:
– The repair clause applies only to parts/pieces whose shape and appearance are determined by the product as a whole (so-called must match – body parts generally understood);
– In order to rely on the repair clause, independent manufacturers and sellers must satisfy specific obligations of diligence, in particular by duly informing consumers about the commercial origin and the identity of the manufacturer of the product that must be used exclusively for the purpose of repairing the car and restoring its original appearance.
Also in light of the above and regardless of the chosen method and manner of presentation and placing on the market, OLSA PARTS INVITES ITS CUSTOMERS AND DISTRIBUTORS TO COMMIT THEMSELF TO PRESENTING OLSA PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET WITH A CLEAR INDICATION OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED CHARACTERISTICS AND SPECIFICATIONS TO ALL CUSTOMERS AND WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE IDENTITY OF THE MANUFACTURER AND THE FACT THAT THEIR USE CANNOT BE DIFFERENT FROM THAT FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIRING/RESTORING THE ORIGINAL APPEARANCE OF THE VEHICLE.
Consequently, OLSA PARTS cannot be held responsible for any exceptions and/or disputes in this regard that may be raised against customers/distributors because of their failure to comply with the above.
3) As UNIVERSAL PARTS, specifically indicated at the bottom of every single product (such as work lights, reflectors, dome lamps, side markers, revolving beacons etc) we mean all items distributed by Olsa Parts “not belonging to the category of original equipment part and/or to the category of matching quality part”.
Some of these references are subject to ministerial or European approval to certify their performance. For these specific items, Olsa Parts distributes only certified and approved parts and, at the customer’s request, can provide the relevant documents.
Brands mentioned in this catalogue are the property of the car makers which they refer to. Their use in this catalogue, as well as the OE references included, are meant only to help and facilitate the identification of the car model which the spare parts must be fitted to.
